The Hampton Roads Alliance was breaking in a new industry and needed content that was exciting, innovative, and accessible.
I worked for several years at the Alliance, but my biggest responsibility was building a presence of the nascent offshore wind industry. I collaborated with statewide partners and stakeholders to promote a unified message about Virginia’s advantages through media and events. I orchestrated and promoted an event series with Dominion Energy that attracted 3,000 registrants in 2021. We launched a physical space called the Virginia Offshore Wind Landing, which gained 20 members within the first year. I created a digital and print campaign aiming toward making Hampton Roads a national hub of the new industry’s supply chain.
